The Dream

I took off the lights,
And went to bed.
I had all these thoughts,
Burning inside my head.

I said my prayers,
Then I closed my eyes.
And drifted off,
To a perfect surprise.

I was walking the beach,
And next to me was you.
You were holding my hand,
Like that time at the zoo.

We rolled in the sand,
As the waves came to shore.
You then kissed my cheek,
But I wanted more.

The sun began to set,
and I whispered to your ear.
How much I loved you,
It was never so clear.

Then I woke up,
As we were about to kiss.
I picked up my phone,
and text: ‘I love you my Princess.’
