Goodbye

The following poem is taken from my book ‘The 28th Year’ which would be available by year’s end. If you like this poem as well as the others I’ve written, then you can show your support and purchase the book when it comes out. In the meanwhile – like and share this as much as you want.

Goodbye
Written By: David Richard Williams – 24th March 2013

There was a time when we supported each other,
Now all we seem to do is fight,
And no matter how much we try to fix this,
We just can’t seem to get it right.

Now we’ve said our goodbyes,
With harsh words no doubt.
No words spoken from the heart,
But from an unsound mind through the mouth.

The things you said really hurt me,
They were neither fair nor just.
I need you to remember just one thing,
It was always in you that I trust.

Maybe I still love you,
But right now my thought aren’t so clear.
So for now I say goodbye to you,
Goodbye to you my dear.
