This ocean we call life we’re either swimming or drowning,
But do we know when we’re the prey or if we’re doing the hunting?
Two parties exchange either pleasantry or trickery
To see which one will get the upper hand or the slap of misery
Smiles tainted by evil intention
Further polluted by pillow talk smothered in contradiction
It’s always said ignorance is bliss, though they never get the pleasure or was it something we missed?
Either side will blame the other whether female or male
But we never get the whole story, they take out the truth and leave the tale.
Selling dreams and they’re being bought like they’re on discount
We get the wake up call over the noise of losing all cents all the points
She reaches back to earth after she jumps off the dick right at the dismount
How about the guy who thought he was the only one
She said he made her smile, he made her laugh, but she made him learn
That in her sphere of emotions, she really wasn’t his it was just his turn
Words are the bait and dreams the hooks that trap us
No wonder we’re always fishing, we eat the chain up of broken promises and mistrust
