Website Changes

This isn’t so much “website changes” as it is “website changes” Confused much? so am I. Actually folks this is just to highlight some new things that have been  implemented this week, Most of them minor while one is a major change.

1. Firstly you would have noticed that you are no longer able to sign in via Facebook and Twitter. This is because we have temporarily disabled that module. Also new registration is closed. This was done to facilitate a clean up exercise (to remove spammers) and it is an on going process.
2. The rating module is now active and currently in testing. I have been getting some error messages while in testing but other than that it works. As soon as I’m able to fix the errors, everyone would be allowed to rate items for which it has been enabled for. This would eventually replace the “LIKE” feature we currently have on the website.
3. Related content has been enabled. Now you are able to view past items from a single article. Related content displays at the bottom of each article.
4. Added social sharing support for Google + and LinkedIN
5. News article dates – Not so much of a new feature but we added it back on the main page.
6. Added support for Apple shortcuts. Now when you add www.davidrw.com to your iPhone or iPad’s desktop, you get an “app like” icon that takes you directly to our website.
